When showcasing or cataloguing one's work, good photography plays a vital role. In this age of digital cameras, 'everyone thinks they are a photographer'. Whilst I took some of the photographs used on this website, the photographs that had a professional behind the camera easily stand out.

Throughout my years I have been blessed with knowing brilhiant artists. Some of these are fantastic phographers who have left me in awe of their abilities. I am forever grateful that they have agreed to capture my work with they professional eyes and lenses.

"I believe photography is not just a means to depict beauty or horror; it also leads to the discovery of the one who takes the photo and, in this way, it cans act upon others. This is the reason why I am constantly looking for that striking image that will freeze something else other than shadows and lights. I consider that one should be committed to the thing whose photo will be taken and to oneself. Our artistic creation will be derived from the combination of those two commitments."

Sylvio Coelho

An accomplished photographer and filmaker, the kind that had an eye for what made a shot special. His pictures are so great that they look effortless. Many of the paintings in this website were photographed by him. Sadly, Sylvio passed away a couple of years ago. He, his talents, his good humor and kind heart will be forever missed.

Other sources of photography

When creating interfaces, imagery can make all the difference. Out of habit, I use my digital camera to photograph the oddest things so that I have my very own private stock photography collection.

However, sometimes you are after something specific and you need to resort to online stock photography resellers. I though I would share with you those I use.
